Avery Diener : Owner & Master Carpenter
Avery was born in Ohio, where he grew up as the youngest of three children whose father is a retired landscape architect and mother is a CPA. At a very young age he loved “fixing” things around the house, which led him to pursue education and experience in the construction industry. In high school, he gained education through the vocational Drafting & CAD program; at Hocking College, he earned his Associates Degree in Construction Management. Shortly after graduating college, Avery moved to Boston, Massachusetts to help his close friend start a church in the area.
In 2010, Avery married Jess, which has led to four beautiful children. In Massachusetts, Avery worked in various construction-related positions ranging from a carpenter at a custom cabinetry shop to a lead carpenter/project manager at a local manufacturing company. At the manufacturing facility, Avery inherited the nickname “Master” or “Mahstah” (as they say with a Boston accent) due to his ability to solve any mechanical or construction-related problem, as well as build any item required by the company.
In 2014, Avery become an ordained minister and an elder at a SEND Network church where he was later hired as the Executive Pastor. During his tenure as Executive Pastor, Avery oversaw the church’s properties and finances, and helped develop its organizational and leadership structures. Early in 2020, Avery and is family relocated to the Pittsburgh area to help the local network of churches and to officially launch Av Carpentry.
